When seconds count! Or maybe you're just tired of all the lacing. Sly Boot zippers in 9 hole configuration Sly Tip! These zippers can be used on 8 to 12 eyelet boots by shifting and creative lacing! Not for use on boots with "speed lacing" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sly tip for installation Start by removing your shoe laces. Place the zippers so that the bottom hole lines up with the bottom eyelet of your boot. (there a two ways to proceed from here. One, [NOT RECOMMENDED]by cutting the laces and tying each eyelet separately.) and two, this is the recommended way, Starting at the bottom, run the shoe string as you would normally through the bottom two eyelets and include the bottom two holes of the zipper. From here you do NOT cross over the zipper, but weave in and out, staying on the one side, until reaching the top of the one side of the boot. Once you've reached the top you will have excess lace left. Tie this off at the top eyelet. Once both sides have been laced to the top of the boot and tied off, TRY THE BOOT ON. If you find that the boot is now to tight to zip up without relative ease loosen the laces, tie off again and try them on again. Do not trim excess lace until you ensure a proper and comfortable fit. You may choose to leave a small amount of excess lace to ease in adjusting the zippers at a later date as leather boots tend stretch with age and wear.
